Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Election

Today we just celebrated Palm Sunday. Our Lord Jesus was welcomed in Jerusalem as their King. But to show our hearts Sinfulness. Christ showed how fickle human nature is. The same people who where praising Him where the same people who eventually in less than a week where the same people who shouted crucify him...crucify him. Treating him like a common criminal.

Just a thought, if I where to illustrate it in our very time especially election is just a few months away. Many politicians are surrounded by followers and are welcomed with praise and assurance and in the last hours are betrayed by the same people. Realizing Jesus was not just our Spiritual Savior He too was a Political Figure.

His teaching showed us how to live and lead a Happy Life, how to live in his kingdom, a community living and loving, believing in the light rather in darkness the forgiveness of sin and of second chance, the Golden rules , the beatitude (be attitude) healing the sick , helping the needy, saving lives and teaching that giving is more blessed than receiving. Having the Glorious hope of a better and eternal life in the future in Him. How Truth will set us free.The right choices we make has an impact to the lives of our family, friends, neighbors, community, city, country and the world.

Just as Christ offered himself to humanity may the Leaders we choose have that selfless Christlike qualities that will rule in Love and Righteousness .Show as the way to Abundance, prosperity and freedom from ignorance sickness , bondage and poverty. I am sharing this thought I pondered as we Start to celebrate Holy week with Palm Sunday till the resurrection Sunday. May we rise again as a people and as a Nation by praying, supporting and choosing the right leaders for our city and country.

May Christ Jesus  truly be praised as King and Savior of our lives.

Ronald Llamas Ronald Llamas, current Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Ronald Llamas  is a prominent Filipino activist and the current political adviser of President  Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III . He is also the president of the  Akbayan Citizen's Action Party , which is a coalition partner of the  Liberal Party  (LP). Prior to his appointment in his current position, he was already a key adviser of President Aquino and LP president and former senator  Mar Roxas .
