The collective effort of a mixed nation

United in one vision and direction


Progressive ambitious people and state

In spite diversity of races and faith


Patriotism above self and interest

Embracing the common good with zest


Disciplined its citizens put things in order 

Scarce resources was not a problem


Made their country as trading center

Air and shipping industry was their forte


Their initial sacrifice paved the way 

For a small island nation to become great


Lee Kuan Yew was a great leader
He is one of the great world leaders

Romulo escorted Virginia Llamas in the pageant. After two and a half years of courtship, they married on July 1, 1924, in Pagsanjan, and honeymooned in Baguio. They had four sons: Carlos, Jr., (“Mike”) in 1925; Gregorio Vicente (“Greg”) in 1927; Ricardo Jose (“Dick”) in 1933; and Roberto Rey(“Bobby”) in 1938. ( See pictures below) Gen. Carlos P. Ronald Llamas Ronald Llamas, current Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Ronald Llamas  is a prominent Filipino activist and the current political adviser of President  Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III . He is also the president of the  Akbayan Citizen's Action Party , which is a coalition partner of the  Liberal Party  (LP). Prior to his appointment in his current position, he was already a key adviser of President Aquino and LP president and former senator  Mar Roxas . Aquino also earlier appointed Llamas as member of the board of directors of the  Development Bank of the Philippines .
