SHOWBIZ DOES RUN IN THE LLAMAS FAMILY By: Deo Antonio D. Llamas

Here's another cast of the Movie Aguila the Icon Christopher De Leon. He Played the role of one of the sons of FPJ "Daniel Aguila whose mom was played by Charo Santos Concio whose maiden name in her role was Atty. Salvation Llamas before Daniel Aguila married her. This event made my dream come true in meeting Ceasar Montano a.k.a Capt. Jack Llamas and premier actor Christopher De Leon.

I have meet FPJ BEEN IN HIS STUDIO AND CAMPAIGN FOR HIM DURING HIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. I was the deputy Regional Coordinator for Region 6 with FPJPM. The other left in my bucket list is Eddie Romero the author and director of the movie Aguila. Which this movie inspired me to do research and write my book Something Interesting and Fun About the Llamas Family of the Philippines, But he died 4 years ago.

Another in my top list that I would love to meet is Charo Santos- Concio who played the role of Atty. Monica Salvacion Llamas. She still hosts the MMK Maalaala Mo Kaya The Longest Running TV Drama program in the country. And another is Monica Llamas whose real name is Monica Salvacion Llamas ha ha ha. Monica is an independent actress and TV artist, Ballerina. She is the one playing Karen the Carabao in a children tv show in early 2000, Manager of Channel 23, and a commercial model endorser.

Like Lady's choice Christmas Holiday, E.Q. and a series of TV commercial for Bonux laundry powder with Ogie Alcasid. Now she has an enterprise a travel agency and " Bleeding Heart Corporation the distillery of the premier Don Papa Rum. Blended in Negros Island the Sugar Capital of the Philippines

And not to forget Queenie Llamas the 24 K gold Model of tv game show of Lucky Manzano Deal or No deal and a winner and Model for Oil of Olay with John Loyd Cruz now she is a flight stewardess.

I have a cousin Eleanor Llamas Baldovino whose life and career has been with the Cultural Center of the Philippines she also helps in CINEMALAYA FILMFEST. She in her own way part of the cultural promotion and preserving our national treasure, culture, and heritage by involving in the several regional cultural shows that they bring to other regions and regularly here in Iloilo either in Iloilo National High school and CPU. And when ever I go to Manila in the 90’s before I get passes to watch Theater plays at CCP and see art exhibits.

We also have the niece of Jose Marie Chan the singer and businesswoman Rina Chan Albert- Llamas who is a graphic designer and book Illustrator and has her stationary brands Rina designs. She illustrated our book " Something Interesting and Fun about the Llamas Family of the Philippines". She also is the niece of Joey Albert the singer. We have Justin Llamas you tube sensation and uprising singer in the U.S. and Jonathan Llamas as we know as Jon Raphael has now ventured in the music Industry and had released their songs in the U.S. market.

Jeena Llamas Lopez- Extreme Sports Enthusiast and writer is married to Ernie Lopez President of ABS-CBN Media Publication and Magazines. Where the best Showbiz updates of stars and events are published here and abroad. The Llamas and Lopez family have a long history of friendship even at the time of Virginia Llamas and Carlos P. Romulo. It was the brothers Eugenio and Fernando Lopez who raised the funds to ensure the victory of Virginia Llamas to covet the Manila Carnival Queen Crown of 1922 and his escort was then Carlos P. Romulo who later she married. And the Lopez brothers were also part of her escort then. The Lopez brothers own also the ABS-CBN TV Channel the biggest showbiz company in the country.

We have Tom Llamas a news anchor at ABS News in the U.S.A. And Fernando Llamas and Lorenzo Lamas of Hollywood. And Monique Llamas Lhuillier who have conquered the showbiz world with her Design and Style for the Celebrity of the Big screen. In Latin America, I have encountered several Llamas actors, directors and movie producers as well. Francis Llamas, Jose Angel Llamas, Asensio Llamas and much more in the US, Mexico, and Spain, as well as MMA and UFC athletes and world champions in Boxing, Muay Thai who, are celebrities in their own rights. Like JC Llamas. Antonio Garcia Llamas the famous Filipino Painter, preferred by the elites and monarchy for their portraits was also Acting into theater plays and do the matte background for their performance while he was living in Spain. Aside from beíng a noted painter, his artistic pursuits included singing and acting. He appeared in several stage plays and sung in a concert in Rome. He belonged to various professional and artistic clubs including the Circulo Escenico, the Circulo de Bellas Artes de Madrid, the Asociacíon de Escritores y Artistas de Madrid, the Casino Español and was once the director of the Manila Civic Opera..

We also have Dolly Torre Llamas the wife of Gen. Francis Q. Llamas. Joel Torre the famous Filipino actor is her younger brother. Gen Francis Q. Llamas has nieces

the celebrity sisters one is Claudia Llamas Rankel who is now based in California an actress and TV commercial model. Her sister Lydia Llamas Rankel- Schmied is the lead singer of one the band in Austria they are the daughters of Dr. Leonor Q. Llamas Rankel, Gen. Francis Q. Llamas sister. Lydia’s daughter Lina Llamas Rankel Schmied is the World Champion 2016 in Ballet Solo and World Vice Champion 2016 in Jazz Solo. Claudia Llamas Rankel said her grandfather Ernesto Llamas was a saxophonist in a band as well as her mom was an excellent pianist (and led the church choir back in the Philippines ) as does her Tita Imelda Llamas Labao there in the states now!

My lola Maria Josefa Villamil- Jovellanos Llamas had inherited a piano from her mom. This Piano was the Piano Leonora Rivera was playing when they had stayed in Dagupan, Pangasinan. this was the time when the Philippine Railway was being built from Laguna to Dagupan. My great Grand father was one of the engineers of this project. Leonora used to play this Piano to entertain guest on several occasions as requested. She was later arranged to Marry an American Engineer of the railway building the company. She was obedient to her father's will and somehow she has lost her communication with her beloved  Dr. Jose Rizal who happens to be her cousin as well which was a cultural taboo, and he was exiled in Europe for his filibustering activities. He agreed to marry the engineer with a condition that she will never play piano again for the rest of her life. The marriage was consummated but after a year she also died.Later years my aunt Angeles Llamas Lazaro who inherited the piano who settled in Bulacan donated said piano to Bulacan Museum. But now there is a move to bring it back to Dagupan, Pangasinan Museum. All my aunts and uncle knows how to play Piano

In Cebu, the first generation descendants of  the revolutionary hero Francisco Llamas were all musicians and adept with playing diversified musical instruments many migrated in Mindanao area

I also know of a Spanish Band lead singer Dani Llamas and several DJ’s as well in the Philippines we have Mike Llamas as DJ Stoney Burke on RJ underground radio 105.9FM Manila While Nick Llamas owns the Llamas Radio FM station in Maranding, Mindanao also his brother Confessor V. Llamas former ABC President, Town Councilor of Plaridel, Misamis Occidental was a writer and director of Local stage plays and AM radio program. In the European Music circles like DJ Flames...Llamas means flame in Spanish.

THE LLAMAS CHRISTMAS TREE

Some of the prominent names in the country such as the Aldanese, Cruz, Cunanan, Devenecia, Jacinto, Llamas, Villar and Yao families-were invited by the luxurious Dusit Thani Manila to provide a Christmas tree creation that Best symbolizes their Family. The Hotel’s Christmas tree project this year featured the theme “ Family Tree “ Each Original creation is on exhibit at the hotel lobby until Dec.30, 2011.

The Llamas Family's Christmas Tree is filled with different musical instruments and gift boxes. This represents the various talents and blessings given to us by the Lord - that we should share in our everyday life. The gift boxes represent the different wishes we have for our less fortunate brothers and sisters, such as food, clothing, and education.

With the Llamas Family being in the music and live entertainment industry, interior designers Pamela Tan and Aivan Magno have designed the Christmas Tree to symbolize the vision and image of the family.

The chosen charity is the Philippine Progress Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports our less fortunate brothers and sisters, including street children in the Philippines. About the Llamas

The family behind Wilbros Live, an entertainment and live events company responsible for bringing international concerts of Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, the Bee Gees, Natalie Cole, Boyz II Men, Engelbert Humperdinck, Ne-Yo, Craig David and Akon, to name a few. The only Pagsanjeño pianist which has achieved international celebrity as a piano virtuoso, composer and music teacher is Professor Calixto R. I played the role a priest that exorcist a possessed lady and that good overcomes evil always. We have joined it in CINEKASIMANWA 4  The Western Visayas Regional Film  Festival. A WINNER FOR - DOT GRANT COMPETITION. Eventually won the award Best in Cinematography and win a DOT GRANT last December  21, 2016, @ SM City Iloilo Cinema. Our Alas Tres was shown last Dec. 14, 2016, at  SM Cinema 1. Now making a new movie KUWEBA to be a showcase for Cinekasimanwa 5 come December 2017 tied up with SM's CINELOKAL Project with FDCP dedicating cinema 1 to show independent movies as their support for the local artist and film Industry in the country. Cinekasimanwa is headed by Director Elvert Banares. and DOT headed by Atty. Helen J. Catalbas.

As a kid, I always love watching movies and that is what motivated me to take up Nursing in the first place if I make it to the states I will make my way to work in Hollywood even as Nurse in the movie set ha ha ha. The movie Aguila by FPJ and Eddie Romero inspired me to write a book " Something Interesting and Fun About the Llamas Family of the Philippines which I posted in my Blog: deo-antonio blog has reached more than 253,687 views and I intend to published it this year and make a documentary video on the contribution of the Llamas Family in Nation building.

Showbiz does run in the Llamas family. Ha ha ha
