The Llamas Family's Christmas Tree is filled with different musical instruments and gift boxes. This represents the various talents and blessings given to us by the Lord - that we should share in our everyday life. The gift boxes represent the different wishes we have for our less fortunate brothers and sisters, such as food, clothing and education.

With the Llamas Family being in the music and live entertainment industry, interior designers Pamela Tan and Aivan Magno have designed the Christmas Tree to symbolize the vision and image of the family.

The chosen charity is the Philippine Progress Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports our less fortunate brothers and sisters, including street children in the Philippines.

TREES ARE NICE TO SEE
By :
Deo Antonio D. Llamas

Christmas trees are nice to see.
In every nativity scenes

But during Christ Crucifiction
Remember he was lifted up in a tree

Which brought man's salvation.
Paid the price for our Redemption

Tree of life, tree of knowledge of good & evil
Was hidden then again will be revealed

How important this trees have played
In Gods plan and man’s reconciliation

We have roots let’s bear fruit
Grow in love and mature in faith

In the end will be, in the new garden
Of the new earth and the new heaven be

Merry Christmas

ANTONIO GARCIA Y LLAMAS, ARTIST
This is an excerpt from Metro Society and Palatial Homes and Mansions in the Philippines website:
Antonio Garcia Y Llamas was one of the greatest Filipino artists of 20th century. He was born and raised in Manila and studied in Spain and Italy.
Family patriarch Don Adolfo Garcia's legendary Parañaque beach house hosted the grandest parties. Only Malacañang Palace parties were said to have been more opulent!
The Spanish mestizo Llamas-Garcia clan was one of the richest in the Philippines. They belonged to the Spanish mestizo Llamas clan ofIntramuros. Many members of the Llamas-Garcia clan were among the civilians killed during the Battle of Manila of the Second World War.
A true Gentleman of the Old World and alta sociedad figure in Manila, Don Antonio became a leading portrait artist to the rich and famous. Antonio Garcia was awarded the prestigious Pamana ng Pilipino Award posthumously in 2000! What a great honour! Antonio Garcia Llamas was one of the best-known portrait artists of postwar Philippine high society. Born in the Philippines to Spanish parents, he studied in Spain and Italy, returning to the Philippines in the peacetime years before WWII
Cristina Castaner Ponce Enrile, his cousin, recounts how Garcia Llamaswas invited by Indonesian President Sukarno in the '60s to Jakarta for six months to work on several projects. According to family lore, GarciaLlamas felt slighted when, his name was not among the artists honored in the newly developed San Lorenzo village (whose streets pay tribute to artists like Luna, Amorsolo, Edades, Garcia Villa, among others). He left the country in 1967, and settled in Madrid, where he continued to paint, while participating in the activities of a theater group.

MUSANG BAND FOUNDER
 COLONEL TEODORO A. LLAMAS PA
Designation: Acting Regiment Commander
Unit of Assignment: Light Reaction Regiment, Special Operations Command, Philippine Army, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija
Years in Service: 30 years

As a young man, Colonel Teodoro A. Llamas PA entered the military primarily because he wanted to live a life full of adventure and experience to live beyond the ordinary. Prior to his assignment as the Acting Regiment Commander of the Light Reaction Regiment of the Special Operations Command of the Philippine Army, Col. Llamas honed his leadership skills leading various combat and non-combat missions across the country. More recently, Col. Llamas was at the forefront of the mission to neutralize the MNLF forces who wanted to declare independence from the Philippine government during the Zamboanga siege. Through his strategic direction and experience in hostage rescue and urban combat, the AFP was able to rescue 113 hostages and capture over a hundred MNLF fighters, on top of the seizure of high powered firearms. He also took the lead in organizing the first-ever Counter-Terrorist Unit, the Light Reaction Company, the group that continuously protect the country from the threats of terrorism. Faced with limited resources, Col. Llamas, more importantly, designed the low-cost semi-collapsible barracks that is still being used in the AFP today and saved hundreds of thousands in construction costs for the institution. On top of spearheading various community tree planting activities and rescue and retrieval operations, the Musang Band is also the brainchild of Col. Llamas, a group composed of the members of the 2nd Scout Ranger Battalion who possess talent in music. The band plays in different community occasions portraying a different image of the AFP and delivering a message of lasting peace to the people of Compostela Valley. In his 30 years in the military, Col. Llamas feels that soldiery goes beyond the feeling of adventure but should hold a much deeper meaning that is to serve, defend and protect Filipinos who could not fight for themselves.
